Varma Kalai / Vaasi Yogham

Adimurai and Kalarippayattu are ancient art forms of Southern India. Their origins can be traced back to Dravidian culture. The poothara is at the sacred core of kalari with its energy being based on kundalini power and the forces of nature. The fundamental aspect of kalari is to energise prana. Through Kalari practice pranic channels will clear enabling the student to ‘realise’ this force. Through conscious control it can then be applied for their own physical and spiritual way. The Siddha tradition is the seed of kalari culture.

The culture of kalari denotes that a student through dhashina give himself fully to his guru and kalari. The training system is determined by the students level and begins with physical activation.
